New CDNs Not Winning Live Streaming Deals Dan Rayburn has an interesting item that looks at recent trends in top-dollar content delivery deals, in which Limelight Networks (LLNW) has fared quite well. Limelight's biggest win has been the deal to be the primary CDN for NBC's online Olympics video at NBCOlympics.com. Associated Newspapers plans to publish a New York edition of its quintessentially English Daily Mail (LSE: DMGT) and Mail On Sunday tabloids, PrintWeek reports. It is enlisting Newsworld to distribute there all week from September. Initially, the project will be limited to a UK edition targeting expats, "but a New York edition, complete with local content and advertising, is planned for the future". WASHINGTON - Jul 31/08 - SNS -- The weekly diesel price provides a proxy for trends in U.S. truck rates, according to the USDA. Diesel fuel is a significant expense for agriculture commodity movements by truck, accounting for 37% of the estimated variable cost.
